Strona główna » Wydawnictwa » Publikacje IBS PAN » Owsiński, Stefański, Straszak (eds.), Transition to advanced market economies_1992

The present volume contains a selection of papers delivered during the IFORS SPC-2 Conference on „Transition to Advanced Market Economies”, organized and run by the Association of Polish Research Societies together with the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, with assistance of the Entrepreneurship Institute and the IRIS (The Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector) Project Poland. Selection of papers provided by the respective participants was made mainly on the basis of matching between the scope of the conference and the paper contents. There was only a marginal intervention of the editors into the contents of the papers.

The volume here presented contains a selection of papers presented at the conference devoted to the subject of transition to advanced market economies, held in Warsaw on June 22nd-25th, 1992, under the auspices of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS).

The conference was organized and run by The Association of Polish Operational Research Societies and Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences with the assistance of The Entrepreneurship Institute and IRIS, Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector, Poland Project, c/o University of Warsaw.

Papers contained in the volume were selected among those that had come to the editors from respective authors, mainly on the basis of matching between the intended scope of the conference and the final contents of the papers. That is why some of the good quality papers presented at the conference are not contained here. And so, very interesting papers by S. Ambroszkiewicz and T. Selbirak, concerning game theory, as well as papers by R. Antkiewicz, T. Nowicki, M. Chudy, S. Story and L. Klukowski, related to more technical aspects of methodologies of econometrics and operations research, will be published separately in another collection of papers, devoted to more methodological aspects: „Transition to advanced market economies: preprint: abstracts of papers prepared for the IFORMS Specialized Conference June 22-25, 1992, Warsaw, Poland”, ed. by: Jan W. Owsinski, Jacek Stefanski, Andrzej Straszak.
